Week's Best Player: Westside's Huang Monday, May 17th, 2027 22-year-old Hongwu Huang made a few Westside headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and August Herrman League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 6 hits in 12 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Huang collected 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 5 runs. For the season Huang has hit .368 with 8 home runs and 26 RBIs. He has played in 34 games and scored 20 times. |
