Kazutoshi Tanaka showed how it's done as he went 5 for 7 against the Grand Canyon ValleyCats and helped the Barrow Frosties beat them 15-0. The manager for the ValleyCats told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Tanaka keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Kazutoshi Tanaka singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Tanaka is swinging at a .323 pace on the year with no home runs, 13 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has played in 18 games. |
