García Wins AHL Player of the Week Monday, May 10th, 2027 21-year-old José García made a few Westside headlines during this past week as the rookie second baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and August Herrman League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 22 at-bats to put up a .455 average. García collected 1 home run, 8 RBIs and scored 6 runs. This year García is hitting .308, produced 24 RBIs and 4 home runs, scored 22 times and gotten on base at a .406 rate. |
