Huge Year For Hellcats Phillips, Nabs Cy Young Award Saturday, October 28th, 2028 The Cy Young Award for 2028 has been presented and the Alexander Cartwright League winner is Phil Phillips of Jacksonville. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Phillips. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Hellcats star told reporters. Phillips excelled with an impressive 21-7 record in 35 starts. In 212 innings he yielded 195 hits and 64 walks, while striking out 218 and compiling a fine 3.78 ERA. Julian Fanner of the Riverside Red Bulls finished second in voting, while Chuk-yan Chio of the Riverside Red Bulls finished third. |
