Austin Covey Hurt, Out 6-7 Months Saturday, September 23rd, 2028 The Ducks received bad news this morning. Austin Covey will miss 6-7 months due to a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. He sustained the injury in the Long Island-Boise game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Covey sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." So far this season, Covey has logged a 3-5 record with a 5.55 ERA. He has started 23 games, hurled 110.1 innings and registered 68 strikeouts and 71 walks. |
