SP Liu-liang Xi Hurt
Thursday, September 21st, 2028
The doctors have spoken and Liu-liang Xi of the Phoenix Lights didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Xi sustained his season-ending injury during the Wichita Wolverines game yesterday at Howling Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Phoenix medical staff reported Xi had a fractured elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.
This season Xi has compiled a 1-2 mark with a 4.28 ERA.
