Monday, August 28th, 2028
Sandy Springs's Marc Dale would not be denied the Ford Frick League Player of the Week Award for this past week. His consistent stroke, which produced 12 hits in 23 at-bats and a .522 average, made him the clear favorite to win the honor.
"You just go out there and do what you have to do," said Dale, "When I'm up, I try to focus and block everything else out of my mind and have a good at-bat. I'm up there to get a hit or advance a runner, not to get caught up in the emotion of the moment. I hope I can win this award every week."
He also tallied 4 home runs, 7 RBIs, and scored 9 runs.
In his stats this season, Dale has posted a batting average of .332 with 123 hits in 370 at-bats, 27 home runs and 71 RBIs. He has also scored 74 runs, walked 48 times and compiled a .409 OBP.
