Newark Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Friday, August 11th, 2028 The Newark Jail Birds certainly didn't impress many fans this with their play on the field. And there's no hope of turning this dismal season around to any great degree either - the team is now out of playoff contention. Newark last appeared in the postseason in 2021. This is their 7th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 14 times in their 16-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Jail Birds have missed the playoffs 8 times. |
