Rock River Reliever Named FFL #1 Pitcher
Tuesday, August 1st, 2028
"The kid had it all working last month," a veteran teammate told reporters. "He keeps up those kind of numbers, we might have to start inviting him out with us after the games."
Szeto Chieu put together a very solid month to take home the Ford Frick League's top pitching honor in July.
The 22-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In 10 relief appearances he raked in no saves and 22 strikeouts in 23 innings as he put together his 5-0 record and 2.74 ERA.
This season he has made 31 relief appearances, collecting 2 saves. Chieu has worked 67.2 innings, yielding 53 hits and giving out 36 free passes while striking out 81. He has a 8-2 record with a 3.99 ERA.
