Kawano Awarded July's FFL Top Bat Prize Tuesday, August 1st, 2028 Kiyoemon Kawano is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Rock River shortstop joined that select company when the Ford Frick League announced the results of July's voting. Kawano totaled 33 hits, 22 walks, 7 home runs, 32 RBIs and 28 runs scored last month to put together a .327 batting average and .442 on-base percentage. Thus far this year Kawano is batting .333 with 9 home runs, 67 RBIs and 66 runs scored. |
