Great Week for Topeka's Mario Encarnación Monday, July 10th, 2028 So far in his young career, Mario Encarnación has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Ford Frick League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 24-year-old Topeka Predators first baseman hit at a torrid .565 clip as he collected 13 hits in 23 at-bats, 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and 9 runs scored. This season Encarnación has banged out 52 hits in 197 at-bats for a .264 average with 8 home runs. He is getting on base at a .389 pace and his totals also include 35 RBIs and 28 runs scored. |
