Hayagawa Sizzles -- Smokes Defenders for 5 Hits Sunday, July 9th, 2028 Masujiro Hayagawa got the glory and the headlines today, but the West Coast Defenders left with the win. The Atlantic City right fielder easily handled the Defenders pitching, going 5-for-5, but his Atlantic City Enforcers came out on the short end of the 11-5 score . Hayagawa told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win. "Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end." Masujiro Hayagawa singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off William Kramer in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Looking at his stats this year, Hayagawa has compiled a .293 batting average, while hitting 15 home runs and driving in 61 runs. He has played in 82 games and scored 52 runs.
