Saturday, July 1st, 2028
Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Tsuyoshi Tadokoro, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Rock River Rats closer, 23, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .195 average and walked away with the Ford Frick League Pitcher of the Month award for June.
Tadokoro posted a 2-0 mark and a 0.79 ERA in 11 relief appearances. In 11.1 innings, he had 7 saves, 13 strikeouts, and 2 walks.
Thus far this season Tadokoro has registered 34 relief appearances, worked 33.2 innings, struck out 33 and issued 10 walks. He has 21 saves with a 2.14 ERA and a 3-1 won-lost mark.
