Lights Broderick Young to Miss Year
Thursday, April 27th, 2028
The doctors have spoken and Broderick Young of the Phoenix Lights didn't like what he heard. The 26-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Young sustained his season-ending injury during the Boise Hawks game yesterday at Basque Block Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Phoenix medical staff reported Young had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12-13 months.
This season Young has logged 1 save. He has thrown 14.2 innings, dished out 16 strikeouts and walked 6 while putting up a 1-0 mark and a 3.68 ERA.
