Fernando Verrier Lost for Season
Thursday, April 13th, 2028
DeKalb center fielder Fernando Verrier could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn labrum. He exited yesterday's Phoenix game after injuring himself while making a defensive play. The original diagnosis said Verrier would be out 9 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
So far this season, Verrier has recorded a .188 batting average with 6 hits, no home runs, 1 RBIs, 6 runs scored and a .278 OBP.
