Foxes Give Manager Ruíz the Brush-Off
Wednesday, January 19th, 2028
All is not well in Fairfax.
Gustavo Ruíz's tenure as the Foxes skipper might end up being remembered more for a memorable exit than for anything he accomplished on the baseball diamond.
Ruíz was fired as the manager of the Fairfax Foxes today and didn't take the news particularly well.
Upon hearing of his termination, Ruíz immediately went to the owner's office, where he laid into the Foxes major decision-maker with an expletive-filled tirade behind closed doors.
"He called me pretty much every name in the book. It wasn't pretty," said the Fairfax owner. "I'd say Gustavo was simply reacting in the heat of the moment. Overall though, I would have preferred a classier exit."
After his verbal ambush of the team owner, Ruíz stormed out of the stadium and was not immediately available for comment.
Club officials have scheduled a meeting tomorrow to appoint an interim manager and begin the search for Ruíz's replacemant.
