Defenders Fortin Down with Injury Tuesday, August 24th, 2027 After the end of today's game between West Coast and Buzzard's Bay, George Fortin skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch, the Defenders had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The closer will miss at least 4-5 months with a bone spur in his elbow. This season Fortin has notched 27 saves. In 56 relief appearances, he has 47 strikeouts in 56 innings with a 5.30 ERA.
