Sung-hwan Park Will Miss 13-14 Months
Tuesday, May 18th, 2027
It took the Phoenix team doctor a while to realize it, but reliever Sung-hwan Park won't simply play through a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament after he got hurt throwing a pitch in today's Roses-Lights game. At first, it looked like Park might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 13-14 months.
Taking a look at this year, Sung-hwan Park has made 21 relief appearances, recorded 1 save and compiled a 0-1 won-lost mark and a 2.37 ERA. In pitching 30.1 innings, he has totaled 34 strikeouts and 18 walks.
