He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Hidetada Abe performed like a veteran on the hill for the Pasadena Bumblebees and walked away with the Blake Camden League Cy Young Award in the process.
The 23-year-old Bumblebees star fashioned a 13-7 won-loss record in 2028 with a 3.85 ERA. In 175.1 innings of work and 31 starts, Abe struck out 235 while giving up 137 hits and 92 walks. He held opposing batters to a .214 average.
Carl Pollard of the Detroit Death Stars finished second in voting, while Tae-geun Cho of the Pasadena Bumblebees finished third.
