Tuesday, September 19th, 2028
After injuring himself, Spartans reliever J.R. Adams headed straight to the hospital. He was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch and the team's worst fears were confirmed when it turned out to be a little more serious. Adams will miss at least 9-10 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament.
Adams has earned no saves and a 1-2 mark this season with a 2.64 earned run average in 16 relief appearances. He has worked 30.2 innings, yielded 23 hits, struck out 29 batters and walked 16.
