League Punishes Pair for Fighting Friday, September 8th, 2028 You would have thought you were at a hockey game yesterday at Underdogs Ballpark. A free-for-all broke out when Shane Measures of Acapulco and Octávio Mendoza of Amarillo rushed one another on the field and had to be restrained by umpires and teammates. Few blows landed, but it was enough for them to be ejected from the game. Today both teams received notification from the league office that the two players would be suspended for 3 games. Measures on the season is hitting .286 with 3 home runs. His stats include 12 RBIs and 11 runs scored. This year Mendoza has notched 4 saves. He has 35 strikeouts and 14 walks in 33 innings while registering a 6.55 ERA and a 0-3 won-lost record. |
