Borlase Hitless, Stopped by Raptors
Friday, August 18th, 2028
Conor Borlase saw his 20-game hitting streak wither and die today during the Coal Miners 10-4 victory over Omaha at Anchorage Municipal Stadium. The 25-year-old center fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by Raptors, but his Antioch teammates produced enough offense to garner the win.

Talking to reporters after the game, Borlase was upbeat. "Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit. How could you be unhappy after you have hit in 20 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. And I am really happy that we won another ballgame today. Life is good."

This season Borlase is hitting .412 with 47 hits, 5 home runs, 22 RBIs, scored 33 runs and played in 30 games.
