Jiménez Gone for Season in Scranton
Friday, August 4th, 2028
When Paco Jiménez was hurt against the Des Moines Spartans, the Scranton Escape were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe that first thought. The 25-year-old first baseman suffered a torn posterior cruciate ligament running the bases in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Jiménez would miss 9 months of the season.
This year Jiménez is hitting .263 with 10 home runs and 27 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .316 clip and scored 26 runs.
