Bang-up Game: McCullough Slams 3 Homers

Today was a special one for Bob McCullough of the Amarillo Horseman as he slammed three home runs in the 16-3 win over the Scranton Escape.
"Lately, I been uppercutting the ball too much. I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark," he said to sportswriters after the game. "No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot three times. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em."
The Amarillo first baseman had quite a game at Horseman Field as he collected 3 hits in 3 at-bats, drove in 5, and scored 3 runs.
Bob McCullough hit a solo-shot off Bobby Wilson in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bobby Wilson in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Charles Walker in the 5th, walked in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
To date, McCullough has collected 101 hits for a .281 average. He has posted 24 home runs, scored 59 runs and driven in 77 runs.
