"I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I have always liked to hit here at Golden Fleece Park." For the day, Robin collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 6 RBIs. "He was instant offense today," Peoria skipper Larry Pittman said. "Jérémy really put on a show." Jérémy Robin hit a three-run home run off Senzo Nakashima in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Artashes Injeyan in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Julián Salazar in the 9th. For the season Robin is currently batting .307 with 18 home runs and 56 RBIs. In 83 games he has reached base at a .412 rate and scored 63 runs to date. |
