Des Moines Loses Bill Holland, Will Miss Season Sunday, July 9th, 2028 The season is finished for Bill Holland of the Des Moines Spartans. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Spartans second baseman suffered a ruptured foot tendon while colliding with a player at a base in a recent game against the Indian Wells Aeropostales. Team doctors said it would take at least 5 months to heal. In his season totals, Holland has 4 home runs, .331 BA, .393 OBP, 31 RBIs and 48 runs scored. He has played in 75 games. |
