June's Best BCL Hurler is Vuorinen Saturday, July 1st, 2028 Ilpo Vuorinen hasn't been around the big leagues long enough to know that youngsters shouldn't be winning Blake Camden League Pitcher of the Month. But when you put up numbers like his, you're going to get some notice. In June the Pasadena starter earned a 4-0 mark in 5 starts. He threw 33.1 innings, struck out 41 and compiled a solid 1.62 ERA. Presently Vuorinen has a 7-1 mark in 13 starts with a 2.95 ERA. He has given up 65 hits in 79.1 innings, struck out 83 and issued 39 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .226 batting average against him. |
