No Hits for Rice, Streak Ends at 28
Saturday, June 17th, 2028
All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Bryce Rice as he saw his 28-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 4 at-bats at the hands of the Chiefs. It wasn't all bad for the 21-year-old second baseman and the Fort Worth Cats, as they defeated Champaign 8-3 at LaGrave Field.

When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Rice laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today."

Thus far in 2028 Rice is hitting .375 with no home runs, 40 RBIs, 53 runs scored and has compiled a .407 OBP.
