Williams Finally Fails, Streak Ends at 27 Tuesday, May 9th, 2028 The Mdewanketon Sabercats lost to the Amarillo Horseman 6-4 today at Mystic Lake Stadium, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Dennis Williams's 27-game hitting streak. "We felt if we could slow down Williams, we would win the game," the Horseman manager explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." For the season, Williams is hitting at a .396 clip with 9 home runs, 30 RBIs and has scored 24 runs. He has 53 hits, 8 walks and a .424 on-base percentage. |
