Cruz Goes 5-for-7 Against Reno
Friday, April 21st, 2028
5 times is the charm -- at least for Rafael Cruz.
The Vancouver Canadians designated hitter tore up the Reno Raiders to the tune of 5 hits in 7 at-bats at Stanley Park today. The offensive onslaught from Cruz powered the Canadians to a 14-11 win.
"Cruz was a tough out today," Reno manager Alex Hensley said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
Rafael Cruz singled in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, doubled in the 8th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 12th, flied out in the 14th and walked in the 17th.
Cruz is presently batting .375 with 5 home runs, 18 runs scored and 17 RBIs. His OBP is .427.
