Yunus Swats 3 HR Against Pasadena Friday, September 24th, 2027 Fans from Astoria are still buzzing after Astoria whipped the Bumblebees 12-8 today at Golden Fleece Park. Abdul-Muttalib Yunus smashed three home runs in the game. This is a feat that few players ever achieve and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance the left fielder bashed out 4 hits in 5 at-bats, had 7 RBIs and scored 4 times. At the postgame press conference, he was asked what it felt like to hit three home runs in one game. Yunus answered, "To get one homer is special... two is great... three is just unbelievable!" Abdul-Muttalib Yunus hit a two-run home run off Dongdo-pa Chen in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Carlos Alejándrez in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Khalid Legras in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. In his season totals Yunus has 21 home runs and a .359 batting average. |
