Red-Hot Vu-Pham Scorches Rubber Ducks
Monday, September 20th, 2027
It was a good day all around. Astoria whipped Anchorage 8-2 and Dung Vu-Pham displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day at Anchorage Municipal Stadium. "Some days, lady luck is on your side," he modestly told BNN reporters after the game. His manager told the beat writers otherwise, "His hitting wasn't luck today. It's his solid approach to hitting. Dung is focused, patient and he hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have." The 23-year-old second baseman for the Argonauts collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats to get his name in the record book. Dung Vu-Pham singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
Thus far this year Vu-Pham is hitting .321 with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
