Bad News for Coronado, José Castillo Hurt Tuesday, September 14th, 2027 The Coronado Phantoms will lose the services of starting pitcher José Castillo after he sustained a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing a pitch in today's game against the El Paso Diablos. "I'll get through it," Castillo said. "The key now is to stay positive." His trainer said he is expected to be sidelined for 7-8 months. In 29 starts this year Castillo has posted 6 wins while suffering 7 losses. He has pitched 157.2 innings, allowed 186 hits, struck out 122 and has a 5.82 ERA. |
