Whatever it was, it provided some surprising power as the Bethesda first baseman smacked three balls up and out of the park at Phantoms Field. His power surge sparked the Lions to a 27-4 victory over the Phantoms. He told BNN reporters, "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you got a shot at a homer. I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day he went 3 for 4, scored 4 times, drove in 7 and put his name in the league record book. Buddah Stalin flied out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Larry Barnes in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Shoichi Ikeda in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off You-liang Rang in the 6th, walked in the 7th and walked in a run in the 9th. For the year Stalin is batting .241 with 14 home runs. |
