Un-four-gettable: Ramos Hits for Cycle
Tuesday, August 17th, 2027
The big buzz in the baseball world is about Jesús Ramos's performance today at Lions Den against Bethesda. Ramos had 4 hits en route to hitting for the cycle, leading the charge for the El Paso 17-5 triumph over the Lions. A cycle requires each of the four types of hits possible -- single, double, triple and home run. A batter has to have power, speed, and a little luck to do it.
"It was one of those games you dream about," Ramos told the press. "I never expected to do something like this when I showed up at the park today. All you really want to do is hit it hard and put it into play. The hits will come." And the hits did come today. The 22-year-old second baseman rounded out his superb batting display with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 4 RBI, and 2 runs scored.
Jesús Ramos flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Govindappa Prashanth in the 5th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
This year Ramos is batting .261 with 8 home runs. He has scored 60 runs and driven in 63.
