Burry 5-for-5 for Sabercats Saturday, July 17th, 2027 Today the Baristas downed the Sabercats 12-7, but Jim Burry did his best to avoid that outcome as he lashed hits all over Mystic Lake Stadium in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "I don't remember a better day batting, but it sure is disappointing to lose the game," the Mdewanketon third baseman said to BNN reporters in the postgame interview. "A win would have made the day much sweeter." Asked if he had a hitting philosophy, Burry said, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of good pitches to hit today and I didn't miss any of them." Jim Burry hit a two-run home run off Koi-sho An in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Koi-sho An in the 5th, walked in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th. So far this year Burry is batting .236 with 5 home runs, 24 RBIs and 25 runs scored. |
