Tuesday, June 1st, 2027
"The kid had it all working last month," a veteran teammate told reporters. "He keeps up those kind of numbers, we might have to start inviting him out with us after the games."
Thomas Wright put together a very solid month to take home the Kade Stenson League's top pitching honor in May.
The 23-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In 13 relief appearances he raked in 9 saves and 26 strikeouts in 14.2 innings as he put together his 0-0 record and 0.61 ERA.
Wright has gone to the hill for 23 relief appearances this season, nailing down 13 saves while notching a 1-0 record with a 1.48 ERA. The Amarillo reliever has limited opposing batters to a .169 batting average.
