Big Day for Hernández: Swats 5 Hits Monday, May 17th, 2027 Fairfield right fielder Víctor Hernández banged out 5 hits today, but it was not enough to keep his club from succumbing to the Baristas 11-6. He went 5-for-5 and raised his batting average a few points. Despite the loss, Hernández was not dismayed: "If the hits keep coming," he said, "so will the runs -- and more importantly -- so will the wins." Víctor Hernández singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a two-run single in the 7th. This year Hernández is hitting .364, produced 19 RBIs and 6 home runs, scored 24 times and gotten on base at a .426 rate. |
