Meaker Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Sunday, April 25th, 2027 The red-hot hitting Spencer Meaker is riding high with a 20-consecutive-game hitting streak and is drawing a lot of attention at the ballpark and in the press. The 25-year-old Coronado shortstop continued the streak today at Phantoms Field with 2 hits in 4 at-bats as the Phantoms got the best of the South Bay Arsenal 3-0. "It's great," one of his teammates said. "To be able to hit behind him and watch him, it's been fun. It's been fun and exciting to watch. Not only fans in Coronado, but baseball fans everywhere appreciate what is going on right now, and it has everyone on the edge of their seats wondering what he is going to do." Spencer Meaker struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th. So far this year Meaker has hit .354 with no home runs, 5 RBIs and 6 runs scored. |
