Another Setback For Manhattan Beach's Félix Betancourt
Thursday, December 7th, 2028
Patriots reliever Félix Betancourt has suffered a setback in his rehabilitation for a torn rotator cuff. He was expected to finish treatment soon and rejoin the team slightly ahead of schedule, but now doctors will reevaluated him after he felt severe pain in a recent workout. The preliminary examination revealed more damage and is worse than the first injury. Anonymous sources in Manhattan Beach told BNN Félix Betancourt would be absent from the roster quite a bit longer than originally diagnosed. He would now have to miss at least 3 months.
Since making his league debut Betancourt has made 591 appearances and nailed down 148 saves with 847 Ks in 691.2 innings. In his career he has a record of 39 wins and 44 losses and a 3.57 ERA.
