Quebec Catcher Voted Best TML Rookie
Tuesday, November 14th, 2028
Last spring Tyan-yu Yang was happy to just make the Armada roster. He was overjoyed to see the name "Yang" on the lineup card, too. Now the 28-year-old Quebec catcher has capped off his debut season by winning the coveted Thurman Munson League Rookie of the Year Award.
Yang won the award by hitting .304 and collecting 146 hits, 31 home runs, 95 RBIs and 47 walks, along with 73 runs scored and a .364 on-base percentage.
Jorge Rodríguez of the San Francisco Earthquakes finished second in voting, while Noam Foucher of the San Francisco Earthquakes finished third.
