Romero Whiffs 15, South Carolina Tops Oklahoma City
Tuesday, September 19th, 2028
Led by an outstanding performance from starter Oliver Romero, the South Carolina Bombers topped the Oklahoma City Prowlers today by a score of 3-0 at Bomber Ballpark. The 29-year-old Romero brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 3 hits and giving up no walks.
"He made a lot of good pitches out there," Prowlers manager Jon Gander said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes."
This year Romero has made 29 starts, thrown 203.1 innings, fanned 175 batters and walked 31. His won-lost record is 14-8 with a 4.38 ERA.
