Season Possibly Over for Michael Fitzgerald Saturday, September 16th, 2028 It took the South Carolina team doctor a while to realize it, but third baseman Michael Fitzgerald won't simply play through a fractured finger after he got hurt running the bases in today's Toreros-Bombers game. At first, it looked like Fitzgerald might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 6 weeks. Fitzgerald is batting at a .329 pace this season, picking up 142 hits in 432 at-bats with 30 home runs, 85 RBIs and 83 runs scored. |
