Wednesday, September 6th, 2028
The Eureka Hornets were dealt a severe blow when Luis Galindo was hurt making a defensive play recently in a game against the Oklahoma City Prowlers. After the game, the team trainer reported Galindo might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 30-year-old right fielder out for the rest of the season with a fractured thumb. They indicated it would take Galindo at least 6 weeks to heal.
Looking at his stats this year, Galindo has compiled a .300 batting average, while hitting 23 home runs and driving in 72 runs. He has played in 97 games and scored 58 runs.
