Kobayashi Voted August's Rookie Award Friday, September 1st, 2028 Mitsunari Kobayashi takes the hill with uncharacteristic poise for a man of so few years. Kobayashi is just a lad, but he strung together some solid starts last month to win the Thurman Munson League Rookie of the Month crown. In August he held opponents to a .234 average as he struck out 32 in 30.1 innings. In 5 starts he nailed down 5 wins, suffered no losses and compiled a 1.78 ERA. Over the season Kobayashi has thrown 146.2 innings and dished out 107 strikeouts with a 15-4 mark and a 3.62 ERA. |
