Hament Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle Sunday, August 20th, 2028 In an outing that will go down in the annals of baseball history, Jacksonville left fielder Kumar Hament hit for the cycle today as the Jacks marched to victory over the Portland Beavers, 10-0. Hament collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, including 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. He added 4 runs batted in and 2 runs scored to help Jacksonville take the Waterfront Park contest. "It was the last thing on my mind, really," Hament said. "I'm out there trying to get a blooper or a walk or whatever might help the team. Even if I had wanted to, hitting for the cycle is probably as much about luck as about skill anyway." Kumar Hament hit a solo-shot off Daryl Harrison in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
