Nevárez Locks Down Hornets Victory, Gets 300th Save
Thursday, August 17th, 2028
Success in close games can separate the good teams from the great teams, and a great bullpen specialist is a big part of that success.

Andrés Nevárez of the Eureka Hornets today solidified his position as one of the great relievers in the game by recording the 300th save of his career against the Kansas City Tornadoes.

Nevárez reached the milestone in closing out the 8-6 Hornets win at Debris Field. The 33-year-old hurler worked 1 innings and gave up 1 run and 3 hits in his historic save.

In his career, Nevárez has been credited with 300 saves and has posted a 3.12 ERA. In 796 games and 939.2 innings pitched, he has a 63-60 won-lost mark and 1159 strikeouts.
