Manhattan Beach Loses José Contreras for Season Thursday, August 17th, 2028 José Contreras of the Patriots just might have to call it quits for the season. The 35-year-old Manhattan Beach right fielder received a possible season-ending injury against the Brooklyn Black Knights recently at Stars & Stripes Stadium. Contreras suffered a strained hamstring while making a defensive play. The Patriots medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 8 weeks. So far this season Contreras is hitting .274 with 21 home runs, 55 RBIs and 47 runs scored. He has 93 hits in 340 at-bats and a .356 OBP. |
