Patriots Martínez to Miss Year Saturday, August 12th, 2028 The Manhattan Beach Patriots were dealt a severe blow when António Martínez was hurt colliding with a player at a base recently in a game against the Omaha Titans. After the game, the team trainer reported Martínez might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 25-year-old third baseman out for the rest of the season with a broken bone in the elbow. They indicated it would take Martínez at least 5 months to heal. Martínez is currently batting .265 with 4 home runs and 27 RBIs. |
