Sucena Belts 3 HR Against San Diego Tuesday, August 1st, 2028 Seattle Sasquatch first baseman Ruberto Sucena put on a dazzling display of power today at Sick's Stadium against the San Diego Hops. In the 12-3 Sasquatch victory Sucena penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts. "He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," San Diego manager Randy England said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well." Along with his three home runs, the 23-year-old had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Sucena said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today." Ruberto Sucena hit a solo-shot off Jorge Ortíz in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jorge Ortíz in the 4th, struck out in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Jesús Ramírez in the 7th. Sucena currently has a .209 batting average with 67 hits, 15 homers, 35 RBIs, 38 runs scored and a .270 OBP. |
